Ken Yagi is a veterinary technician specialist with certifications in emergency and critical care, and small animal internal medicine. He also holds a master’s degree in veterinary science. He is program director of the RECOVER CPR Initiative and simulation lab manager at the Tetlow and Roy Park Veterinary Innovation Laboratory at Cornell University. Previously, he served as ICU manager and blood bank manager at Adobe Animal Hospital. He is co-chair of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America’s (NAVTA) Veterinary Nurse Initiative and serves as a board member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, the Academy of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Technicians, and the Veterinary Innovation Council. Yagi co-edited the Manual of Veterinary Transfusion Medicine and Blood Banking and has published over 30 text chapters and articles in various publications. He is an international speaker on topics in emergency and critical care, transfusion medicine, and the veterinary technician profession.
