Geoffrey Kunkler joined Carlile Patchen & Murphy LLP in 2014 and became a partner in 2018. As a recognized leader in his area of practice, he steers individuals and business owners through all aspects of estate planning and asset protection planning for retirees. He received his master’s degree from Case Western Reserve University and his law degree from The Ohio State University. He earned his Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® designation from The American College in 2016.
Kunkler has held several leadership volunteer positions at the Columbus Bar Association, including Chair of the Estate Planning Committee and member of the Probate Law Committee. He also is a licensed athlete agent in Ohio, helping students understand how negotiation can ensure maximum compensation.
He volunteers his time at the Columbus Foundation Professional Advisors, Delaware County Foundation Professional Advisors Group, Catholic Foundation Professional Advisors Group, The Ohio State University Office of Gift Planning Professional Advisors Group, and The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine Philanthropic Engagement Council. He also is a founding board member of the Central Ohio chapter of the National Aging in Place Council.
Kunkler is married to his wife, Lauren, and they have a daughter, Nora, who was born in 2019. He also has a dog named Teddy and tries to play golf when he has time.
