4 Ps of positive leadership to practice in your workplace.

Charlotte McKay is an economist, data scientist, geographer, and team leader with over 15 years of experience in analytics. She is the owner of SilverCat Analytics, providing data analytic services. Previously, she was a senior economist and associate director of statistical and geospatial analysis at the AVMA. She earned her master’s degree in agricultural economics from the University of Kentucky. Her areas of specialty include veterinary economics, equine economics, and geospatial analysis.
Fun fact: An alpaca breeder once told Charlotte that she is a natural at handling alpacas.
Josh Vaisman believes all veterinary professionals deserve to feel fulfilled by their work each and every day. As the cofounder of Flourish Veterinary Consulting, he is passionate about guiding leaders to cultivate work environments in which people can thrive. He has more than 20 years of veterinary experience, holds a master’s degree in applied positive psychology and coaching psychology, and is trained in positive leadership and positive organizational scholarship. He is the author of the book “Lead to Thrive: The Science of Crafting a Positive Veterinary Culture,” published by AAHA Press, the publishing arm of the American Animal Hospital Association.
Fun fact: Josh is an avid beekeeper who teaches beginning beekeepers how to tend to their hives.
