Thomas Heckel earned his associate’s degree in veterinary technology from Suffolk Community College. He works as an anesthetist in the surgery department at Upstate Veterinary Specialties in upstate New York. Previously, he was a surgery team leader at The Animal Medical Center in Manhattan.
