Vet set go: How to inspire future veterinarians

One of the reasons veterinary medicine is unique among professions is that most veterinarians decided to become animal doctors before they were 13 years old. Discover how you can support aspiring veterinarians in elementary, middle, and high school. AVMA has partnered with Vet Set Go, whose mission is to equip future veterinarians with educational and career opportunities. Learn about guidance, resources, and shadowing opportunities you can offer to help future generations of veterinarians follow their dreams.

Participants can expect to learn about:

  • How supporting aspiring veterinarians benefits you, your practice, and the veterinary profession
  • Three immediate ways to connect with and support future veterinarians in your community
  • Resources to make your first connections and expand your support for aspiring veterinarians

This course originally was presented at AVMA Virtual Convention 2021.
