Anaphylaxis in companion animals: What to know

Discover what every general practitioner should know about anaphylaxis in companion animals, with an emphasis on how to recognize and successfully treat it in dogs and cats. Dr. Sonya Hansen earned her DVM from the University of Minnesota. After graduation she completed a one-year rotating internship at Michigan State University, and a one-year specialty internship and residency in emergency and critical care at Auburn University. After that, she worked as a criticalist and head of the emergency department at a hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She has special interests in trauma, acute kidney injuries, and endocrine emergencies.
