Preventive Healthcare Certificate Program: Available until 8/31/2026
Beginning September 1, 2026, this course will be put on hiatus for a comprehensive review and potential revamp.
We respectfully ask that you complete this program and download your certificate, badge and any other resources you would like to retain before September 1st. After this date these materials will no longer be accessible.
The Partners for Healthy Pets Preventive Healthcare Certificate Program will provide the tools and resources you need to communicate the value and benefit of preventive care to your clients in a way that enhances the veterinary-client-patient relationship. It will also help you to improve the overall quality of preventive healthcare you provide your patients.
Upon completion of the Preventive Healthcare Certificate Program, you will be able to:
- Describe preventive healthcare and its importance to primary care veterinary practice and your clients
- Apply the Partners for Healthy Pets Resource Toolbox to the development of a preventive healthcare program in your practice
The program includes 10 modules, each taking approximately 1 hour.

This program has been approved for Ten (10) hours of on-demand, non-medical AVMA continuing education credit for veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and veterinary practice managers.
Ten (10) hours are also applicable toward the continuing education requirement for the Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) program offered by the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA), approved course ID 25-69.
