Dr. Starr Cameron is a clinical assistant professor in veterinary neurology and neurosurgery at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She earned her veterinary degree from the Royal Veterinary College and completed residency training in neurology and neurosurgery at Cornell University. After residency, she worked in private practice at SAGE Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Centers in Redwood City, California, while researching epilepsy in California sea lions with the comparative neuroscience department at Stanford University. Dr. Cameron and her colleagues were able to show similarities between epilepsy in sea lions and humans. She is now studying epilepsy in dogs and cats, and is especially interested in using knowledge of epilepsy in humans to provide better care for veterinary patients.
