Grand rounds: Getting the most from your mentor

You know how grand rounds sessions help you tackle difficult cases on clinics? In this session, presenters use that same format to explore the benefits of a mentor relationship, and how you can get the most out of your experience as a mentee. Join Dr. Addie Reinhardt of MentorVet and Dr. Sara Guillen, a recent graduate and small animal practitioner, for a discussion on creating a structured mentorship program in your clinic, and how it can help you in the early years of your career. Follow along with the presenters as they work through the history, subjective, objective, and assessment of the “case.” Come away with a plan to bring a structured mentorship program to your practice, and learn how to get—and give—the most in this valuable relationship.

This webinar was developed in partnership with the My Veterinary Life podcast.

Participants can expect to learn about:

  • Benefits and key elements of a structured mentorship program
  • Identifying your personal goals as a mentee
  • Building an agenda for a successful check-in meeting with your mentor
